Patrick is currently a Lecturer in Computing/Information Technology Department at the University of Malawi-The Polytechnic. Prior to his appointment as a Lecturer, he served as Network and Systems Administrator of Techno Brain Group, and he was responsible for Malawi Immigration Passport Issuance System as well as Malawi Police Criminal Tracking System. 

He is a Graduate of St. Cloud State University, Minnesota, USA with MSc. in Information Assurance (Cyber-Security). He was previously at Mzuzu University where he studied Information and Communications Technology.Patrick has experience in Intrusion Detection and Prevention, Digital Forensics, Cryptography, Database Administration and Software design.Patrick has made national and international presentations for many professional groups, most recently on the effects of cloud computing on e-Governance in Malawi which was held at The University of Kansas in USA.

He was named a Finalist in the Three Minute Thesis (3MT) Presentation Competition conducted at St. Cloud State University, USA. In 2012, he received an Award as the Best Project Manager for Malawi Immigration Passport Issuance System project. Currently, Patrick’s primary research interests are in the area of cloud computing, specifically, to explore the security threats impacted by cloud computing technology. One capstone of his tenure as Network and Systems Administrator was the decentralization of passport printing process across three regions of Malawi.
